29-year old duped of Rs 20,000 by two fraudsters

Pune: A man was duped of Rs 20,000 by two unknown persons in Dattawadi at Pune-Satara Road on Monday. 

The complainant, Vivek Shelar (29), is a resident of Bibvewadi. 

The police said Shelar, who works in a private firm, went to a Central Bank of India branch to deposit the firm's cash of Rs 20,000. On reaching the bank, he was approached by the two men, who requested him to deposit their money, worth Rs 2 lakh, in his account. 

They said they will give him half the amount as commission if he agreed. Later, they took him to Pune-Satara Road to give him the amount and handed him a bag which only had bundles of papers.

They took Rs 20,000 from him before giving him the bag and left the place.

The police registered a case of cheating against the accused.
